Seven-time Grammy® Award winner, Toni Braxton, stars as Antoinette Tuff, in “Faith Under Fire” for Lifetime TV. “Faith Under Fire” depicts Tuff's experience on August 20, 2013 when she convinced an active gunman to surrender by using her own life struggles, and compassion, to connect with him. Antoinette’s faith in God guided her through the toughest moments of her life, ultimately preparing her for that fateful day.  This enormous act of courage saved the lives of over 870 innocent children, staff and parents. “Faith Under Fire” premiered on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 8:00pm EST.

“Faith Under Fire” is produced by Sony Pictures Television and based on the book “Prepared for a Purpose: An Inspiring True Story of Faith, Courage and Compassion in Crisis” by Tuff and Alex Tresniowski. Executive producers are T.D. Jakes (Heaven is for Real), Judith Verno (Masters of Sex), Derrick Williams (Miracles from Heaven), Toni Braxton and Craig Baumgarten (Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart). Emmy nominee Vondie Curtis Hall (Abducted: The Carlina White Story) directs from a script written by Laura Harrington and Stephen Kay.

Antoinette Tuff uses her insight and influence to change the vision and lives of under-served children through her non-profit, Kids on the Move for Success, which she founded soon after her heroism. Kids on the Move for Success has provided scholarships to students from PreK to Graduate school across the United States and internationally. Antoinette also gives back to the community that has supported her before and after that fateful day with her Discovery sTEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) Mentoring Program for children in the 3rd to 8th grade.
